Today we proudly launch our new online persona at www.womenscollective.org.
Our site has something for everyone including highlights from our many successes at the XIX International AIDS Conference held in D.C. in July 2012; a showcase of our comprehensive roster of programs that support critical care and prevention needs for ALL women and girls in our community; highlights of our advocacy work; a showcase for women's stories; and much more.
We are very proud and excited to be well underway in our working in partnership with Maria De Jesus, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of International Service at American University on a DC D-CFAR study titled "HIV-Related Perceptions Among East African & African American Women in DC."
With the much anticipated arrival of XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) to Washington, DC during the week of July 22-27, 2012, we concentrated on this unique opportunity to address the critical issues facing women, girls, and families in D.C. on an international stage.
We are proud to announce that TWC is one of four new organizations selected to join the Fair Chance family of DC-based organizations serving children, youth and families.
The vision and mission of Fair Chance is simple and powerful:
"We believe that every child in the District of Columbia deserves a Fair Chance to succeed, our mission is to strengthen the sustainability of nonprofit organizations and their leaders to transform the lives of children and youth living in poverty."
